reid let's it die in the senate. that brings me to today's f-bomb. well the gun junkie lobby has decided where to place the blame for gun violence in a society where it's really easy to get guns. it's at axis of scapegoats. let's look at the games first. yesterday, senator lamar alexander actually said that violent video games are bigger problem than guns. i'll never forget my first day in new york and i was in an alley israel and a raving manback jumped out and threw an atari 2600 q-bert game directly at my heart. countries with the highest video game consumption are really quite safe. is studies have proven that watching violent video games make children more aggressive, but only one country has this type of gun violence. it's got to be the violent movies. when is hollywood going to answer for all the make believe answer causing all the violence across the world. joe scarborough who i like has been going off on quentin tarantino and calling him a jack ass for releasing "django unchained"ded". let's

no, harry reid is not a more powerful guy. but i do agree in the end, if the president will stop demagoguing, and if he'll stop running a presidential campaign, a permanent campaign that david brooks is talking about, al, i think you're right. i think the president, at the end, may actually make some decisions that will upset his own base, change cpi, on hopefully -- hopefully he won't take paul krugman's position and say we'll worry about medicare in 2025 when it starts to melt down. hopefully he'll be a little more responsible than that. i think he will. >> yes. >> but the problem, i think, goes back to mika's point. in all of the attacking the president, he has a plan on the table. you can say is demagoguing. the revenues that he's putting on the table from the taxes add up. the republicans have just come back saying, we're not putting revenue on the table, but they have not come up with a counterproposal. they haven't even shown up. the problem with the david brooks problem is the sequence of events. we set up sequestratio

[laughter] the bad news is, it was in harry reid's handwriting. [laughter] listen, the message is really simple. we have got to start talking to each other, solving problems, we have got to get rid of the ideology and you have got to be fired up to make it happen. the forces of division are fired up. the forces that want to pull us apart and put us into categories are fired up. there has to be support for people who want to solve problems, who want to tell the truth, who want to work a five- day week, who want to do the things that we need to do to get this country going. it is what is on the minds of the public. i was the only candidate in the country where people had a real choice. if you stop and think about it, your choices are determined by the parties by large. in maine, people had a third choice. my favorite comment from the whole state was that people came up to me and said all my life, i wanted a chance to vote for none of the above. and you are it. [laughter] [applause] but the point is, people are more interested in solving the problems
